Sony Investigating Major PSN Outage
PlayStation Network (PSN) has been inaccessible for over 12 hours. This outage, affecting all PlayStation platforms including PS4, PS5, PS3, PS Vita, and web services, is preventing players from accessing their games and using online services.
Affected Services:
- PlayStation Network account login and management
- Gaming and social services
- PlayStation Store purchases and downloads
The outage began on February 8, 2025, at 00:00 and is still ongoing. Sony has acknowledged the issue and is working on a solution, but has not shared any definitive information on when services will be restored.
Players Unable to Access Digital Games!
One of the biggest issues with this outage is that players cannot play their games due to PlayStation’s inability to verify digital game licenses. Some digital games can be launched, but PlayStation issues a warning that the game will shut down after 15 minutes.
Awaiting a Statement from Sony
Sony has yet to make an official statement regarding the cause of the PSN crash. The only statement from Sony so far is that they are aware of the issue.
