PlayStation Issues Apology: 5 Free Days Added to PS Plus Subscriptions!
The major PlayStation Network outage has ended. Sony has apologized to players by extending PlayStation Plus subscriptions by 5 days.
Last night’s widespread PlayStation Network (PSN) outage, which caused nearly 24 hours of connectivity issues, has now been resolved. Players can once again log into PSN, play games, and shop via the PlayStation Store.
Sony has promised to automatically extend all PlayStation Plus subscriptions by 5 days as compensation for the disruption. The extension will be applied to accounts within the next few days. PlayStation’s official statement reads:
“Network services have fully recovered from the operational issue. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank our community for their patience. All PlayStation Plus members will receive an additional 5 days of service credited to their accounts.”
Sony confirmed that players can use PSN without issues and directed those seeking real-time updates to visit the official PSN status page.

While the 5-day subscription extension is a welcome gesture, it applies only to PlayStation Plus members. Many players have expressed frustration over this limitation, and their concerns are valid.
